Rovetta and San Lorenzo are placed in a beautiful position, in a territory that goes from Presolana to the South part of the plateau of Clusone.

The altitude of the village is about 700 mt and the surrounding mountains are various: M. Blum (1302 mt); M. Parè (1642 mt); Presolana (2521 mt); M. Pora (1876 mt); M. Falecchio (902 mt); Pizzo Formico (1637 mt).

There is also a plain, called Agro (AGHER), where you can find the hamlet San Lorenzo .

Acording to Prof. Rocco Zambelli's study, all this zone from Castione to Clusone and Lovere was submerged by sea, then gradually it arose till the definitive movement (about 20 millions years ago), that uncovered the Dolomite rocks.

In ancient times the streams had different courses, for example Serio river was passing through Cantoniera della Presolana from Castione to Clusone.

Gradually the situation changed and the river modified its route, but another stream that merged into Sovere began to erode the land, so that it created Borlezza Valley.

The stream continued to bring material, that created a valuable marble that was used in several churches of the zone.

There were also various glaciations.
